A field in Italy

January 24th, 2012

Family + Sunset + Italy + Open field = Happiness. I love math :) This is the second time I’ve photographed this family. I’m so lucky they invited me back because I really enjoy them. It’s amazing to see how much the kids have changed in such a short time. Sadly, they are moving back to the states but maybe we’ll run into each other again soon!

Fall at Lake Barcis

January 24th, 2012

I’m a little behind on blogging, but seeing these fall colors makes me happy now that the cold, gray, foggy days have been around for some time. This session was on a chilly afternoon at Lake Barcis. This family was on the verge of moving back to the states. Moving is SO stressful. It’s even more stressful to move across an ocean. Imagine throwing in a photo session with all of that craziness!? Kudos to this family for pulling it off and looking AMAZING. I loved this family and how the kids were happy to chat. I leaned about their schools and what kind of gelato they were going to pick after the session…if they were good. I hope they got what they wished for because they were great!!

Riposo

November 16th, 2011

It’s riposo time. I’m taking a break from editing to show sneak peeks from two sessions this weekend.

At home in Italia

October 28th, 2011

I love photographing families…especially my friends.  My Belgian friends are alway happy, fun and up for anything. We began at their house outside of town. After playing in their backyard with the dogs and some calcio we rode bikes into centro for cobble stones and coffee bars. I knew it was going to be a great morning!

Fall in Ferrara

October 25th, 2011

Timing is everything. Leaves are changing colors, temps are dropping and the sun is still shining. It’s fall in Ferrara. We were out and about early! It was cold, but worth it to see the sun pop up over the trees and watch as the town slowly came to life!

What a fantastic morning!

I had two amazing sessions this weekend. Here’s one from the session I’m editing today!!

Any day now

October 15th, 2011

Over the summer I met up with my college roomate for a nice relaxing spa weekend. Yummy healthy food, facials, massages, catching up, more yummy food and photos…what more can a girl ask for? Any day now she will meet her baby girl. Can’t wait!!!

A Bunch of hot air

October 3rd, 2011

Every year Ferrara, Italy hosts a “mongolfiere” (hot air balloon) festival. They launch several balloons each morning and evening from a park in town. The kids try and spot the balloons floating around town by listening for the sound the fires make. This year, I really wanted to get a picture of a balloon cruising by the castle…and I did! I’d like to thanks to the wind for deciding to cooperate on this one fine day :)

On the last night, all the balloons were together and coordinated the fires to music!

Boys and trains

September 28th, 2011

Once again, I was lucky to photograph one of my best friends and her boys this summer while I was visiting Texas. Her boys have a love for trains that runs deep so we visited the depot in downtown Grapevine. We had to work quick because it was HOT. That was enough time for me to learn all about trains, how they work and the names of ALL of their parts thanks to a certain 5 year old :)
